A new lawsuit filed Monday by the U. S. District Court in Texas and the Office of Judicial Al provinces against Valeant Pharmaceuticals plc and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) alleging that Valeant knew or should have known about the drug's safety and risks in connection with its sales of Viagra.
The lawsuit, filed Monday by Valeant Pharmaceuticals, alleges that the FDA improperly reviewed the Viagra prescription drug in question after it was issued an application for regulatory approval in August 1998. The British health service has launched a 'P-10' Viagra prescription-only medicine on the NHS after it was found to contain "substantial amounts of impotence-inducing drug" in the last year.
